The Huron Respite Network, a collaboration of 10 agencies in the County of Huron in partnership with the Huron County Housing Corporation are providing a vacation respite home as an alternate respite option to families and people caring for people with special needs. The home is located at 299 Queen Street, Blyth, an apartment building owned and operated by the Huron County Housing Corporation.

Having the home located in Blyth offers central access to the whole county and people who stay in the Vacation Respite Home can access local events and attractions such as theatre, parks and restaurants. Use of the apartment is flexible. It is available to people and their supports as well as care givers who need a break and want to get away. This is a huge relief especially when it is easier for the person they're caring for to stay at home. The home is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week, 365 days per year for planned respite and emergency accommodation purposes.
